Dobie & Anderson Connections

There appear to be two or more Dobie and Anderson connections. John Anderson and Margaret Dobie lived in Sanquhar, Dumfriesshire around 1765 to 1830, and Robert Anderson and Isabella Dobie who lived in Colvend, Kirkcudbrightshire, between about 1822 and 1862. John was my gggg-grandfather and Robert was his grandson, but it is not known if their wives were related. Other individuals bearing both names also have been encountered.
