Marilynn Clarke says of this photo: "According to my grandfather's diary, that picture was taken while the old Sutherland house was being built in Lytton. From the picture, it looks a little crowded and I have seen the house (still standing) and it is fairly large. Also, according to the diary, Belle was visiting at that time, it being just after my grandmother had had her second child -- my mother."
